The Sustainability Professionals Institute of Nigeria (SPIN) congratulates our Vice President, Dr. Ini Abimbola, on her appointment to the Governing Council of Wigwe University.
Dr. Abimbola is among five distinguished academics and professionals appointed to the university’s reconstituted Governing Council as Wigwe University enters its next phase of institutional growth and development.
The reconstituted Council is chaired by Hon. Justice Amina Augie, JSC (Rtd.), CFR, as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council. The other newly appointed members are Professor Francis Egbokhare, Professor Uchenna Udeani, Professor LeRoy Edozien and Mrs. Omotayo Ikotun.
The appointments bring extensive experience across higher education, academic leadership, institutional governance, professional practice, strategic management and organisational development.
As a member of the Governing Council, Dr. Abimbola will contribute to the strategic oversight and guidance of the university as it advances its priorities in academic excellence, institutional growth, research and innovation, student development and international engagement.
